The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into projects that change lives both close to home and around the world. As we begin our new Rotary year, let's make a thoughtful decision to make a donation to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund!
Our Zone(27) and District(5110) was among the leaders in the entire Rotary world for giving to the Rotary Foundation! Thanks to everyone who has generously given to TRF! It is TRF that provides matching funds to club local and global projects throughout the world, magnifying the money we raise as clubs for these worthwhile and potentially life-saving projects!
One area where we can improve our giving as clubs and as a district is to have more of our members donate to TRF. When every member of a club gives ($25 minimum) to TRF, it becomes an Every Rotarian Every Year (EREY) club...a very prestigious award! And when every club in the district is an EREY club, then the district becomes an EREY district!
So let's start the year out RIGHT and help your club become EREY! The best way to do this is through My Rotary:
1. Login to My Rotary
2. Click My Account
3. Click My Donations
4. Scroll down to Active Recurring Donations and Add a Recurring Donation
Although I recommend a recurring donation of $10 per month to the Annual Fund-Share, I know that some members may not feel they can afford this right now, but almost everyone can afford a $25 per year donation. So make the donation you feel comfortable with ($25/yr minimum) to help make your club and our District EREY! If you have members who don't like giving funds online, encourage them to write a check to The Rotry Foundation (put Annual Fund on the memo line), and have their TRF Chair send it in for them!
Once a year, go into My Rotary and edit your recurring donations and thoughtfully make an increase in your giving. Remember TRF is among the highest rated charities in the world, meaning more of your donation goes to helping your communities and the world than almost every other charity!
