I began “reading” comic books when I was three years old. Though I suspect that I really only looked at the pictures. Comic books even influenced my birth as my parents named me after Batman’s secret identity.

3. How many different comic book titles do you remember reading?
I remember reading Batman, Superman, Super Boy and Super Girl, Lois Lane, Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge (still a favorite), Mickey Mouse and Goofy, Blackhawks, Combat, Mighty Sampson, Magnus Robot Fighter, Nancy and Sluggo, Little Lulu, Little Audrey, Baby Huey, Ritchie Rich, and so many others.
We had stacks of comic books that measured three feet high. We traded comics with friends but while we enjoyed the stories and the artwork, we gave little thought to the business of comics. The following articles discuss some of the history and business of comics.
