Take a few minutes and view this video about Adopt-a-Village Guatemala, a project that partners with our Club. Osman Casteñeda, Director of the Maya Jaguar Technical lnstitute, is a member of our club and several students are members of the Rotaract eClub of No Borders.
OUR NEW VIDEO! Filmed and produced by Chris Korbulic, a Grants Pass area resident, recently named a National Geographic Adventurer for the Year 2016 and identified by the Men’s Journal in 2015 as one of the world’s 50 most adventurous men. This brief 7-minute video shows the impact of the 36-year-civil war on the lives of Maya living in the remote region of Guatemala where Adopt-a-Village works, and how today, they struggle to overcome their legacy of 500 years of oppression. Our organization is helping to empower Mayan families through two major initiatives—education and sustainable agriculture. Your support is needed to help Mayan families escape the extreme poverty in which they live, and to bring hope and stability into their lives. Our long-term sustainable programs are helping to achieve that goal. Please consider a gift during this “giving season” for them.
