The youngest are the most vulnerable
CoVid-19 Update by Frances Dixon
Anyeli Daniela is one of our club's literacy program children in Las Victorias, Guatemala. She is one of the most vulnerable in the group of 20—when her mother died, she was abandoned by her father and left in the care of her impoverished grandparents. With the Covid strict lockdowns and curfews continuing, food has become increasingly scarce and prohibitively expensive. A donation from one of our club members has made it possible for onsite Rotarian Frances Dixon to deliver a supply of food to her home.
THANK YOU for caring!

The World Bank states that “Girls’ education is a strategic development priority. Better educated women tend to be healthier, participate more in the formal labor market, earn higher incomes, have fewer children, marry at a later age, and enable better health care and education for their children. All these factors combined can help lift households, communities, and nations out of poverty.”
Our club is making those benefits become a reality!
