Welcome to this week’s meeting of the eClub of the State of Jefferson.

I am Bob Gibson, President of the Rotary eClub of State of Jefferson. Welcome to this week’s meeting. I hope this finds you well.

Last Tuesday, at our Coffee Chat, we had a chance to catch up with President-elect Patti and hear about her experience at PETS this past weekend. Those of you who have experienced this training opportunity understand the energy and enthusiasm that it generates. This was Patti’s second PETS. It was wonderful to hear about her experiences. The speakers and training sessions are first-rate.

This is the time of the Rotary year that we use for planning and establishing a direction for our Club. I will be meeting with President-elect Patti and President Nominee Lucinda to discuss projects, initiatives, and goals. We will create an agenda for a Club Assembly. It will be scheduled in March. I believe it is good to look at where we are now and where we want the Club to be in the future. We will be able to use the results of this planning effort to create and maintain opportunities for service and fellowship.

We have funds in our club Foundation that are earmarked for the Signs for Mines project in Ukraine. We will be transferring those funds in the next couple of weeks. If you are inclined to participate in this project, additional donations to our Foundation will be appreciated.

We are continuing to make progress on our service projects. Our work and support of efforts in Ukraine, Uganda, and our District Grant for the Navajo Nation are helping many people. These projects are the result of the passion and commitment of our club members.

Thank you for your interest in our Club and your commitment to “Service above Self.”

Enjoy the meeting.
