TRFSome numbers on the impact of membership loss and Rotary giving in this district. These data and statistics are drawn from RI reports.

In 2009-10 this district had 4071 members and they gave $454,105 to the Annual Fund for a per capita of $112 per member.
In 2019-20 this district had 3278 members and they gave $488,262 to the Annual Fund for a per capita of $149 per member (yahoo!)
In 2020-21 this district has 3165 members and so far they have given $372,010 to the Annual Fund for a per capita of $117 per member

We are down 793 members over that period of time. I averaged the $149 per member with the $112 per member to get $130 per member. This $130 multiplied by our membership loss is $103,288, just a little less than we are down this year over last. We are currently down $116,251.

This loss in membership and subsequent giving loss is a big reason there had to be changes at the Rotary Foundation.

I want to thank all Rotarians who have given generously to the Rotary Foundation and encourage those who have yet to give to be generous as it impacts all the work we do in our communities and around the world. Let's match our 2019 per member donations of $149.

Lastly, let's get out and recruit more members and make sure we take care of the members we have!

PS - just for kicks here are some more data. In the past decade North America is down over 45,000 members. If you multiply that by the average donation, $104.51 (I called Rotary to get that number) the loss in giving is about $4.7M.

Thank you for all you do,
Tim Mobley, District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair
