Listen and Watch two outstanding candidates for District Governor 2024-2025

Congratulations 2024-2025 DG Nominee Nelson Maler!

By Bill Grile

Nelson MalerLast Sunday the D5110 Nominating Committee convened and nominated Nelson Maler from the Rotary Club of Grants Pass to serve as District Governor for 2024-2025. The committee truly appreciates the efforts and qualifications of our other candidate, Kimberly DeBroux from the Rotary Club of Greater Bend. Kim has stepped up as our new D5110 Training Coordinator.

Notwithstanding this decision, pursuant to Article VII of the District 5110 Policy Manual, any club in the District may challenge the Nominating Committee’s decision by following procedures set forth in Article VII and notifying District Governor Gerry Kosanovic by October 27. If no challenge has been received by the District Governor by that date, Nelson Maler shall be officially declared the District Governor Nominee Designate and will serve as District Governor in 2024-2025.

Storytelling Made Easy: Voices of Rotary

By Dan Smith

Want to hear a good story? Who doesn’t? Storytelling is said to be one of humankind’s most satisfying rites. “US News and Reports,” said that “The old-fashioned art of storytelling has become a 21st-century sensation.” Now Rotarians can listen to great stories with the District 5110 Voices of Rotary podcasts.

storytelling

The varied podcast stories highlight matters of interest to just about everyone but especially Rotarians. For example, you can listen to a gripping account of Rotary’s response to the destructive Almeda Fire in Southern Oregon in 2020. It’s a great story--click here for more info and all the great people working behind the scenes on this Rotary podcast effort.

Voices of Rotary will entertain, instruct, enlighten, and expand your understanding of individual contributions of service in our communities.
